Position Title = SMT Manufacturing Manager, 2nd shift
Status = Permanent Full Time with Benefits
Education Required = Minimum  B.S. or A.S. Engineering with 10 years experience.
Experience Required = At least 5 years hands on experience with MPM Screen Printers, FUJI Flexa, Fuji NXT placement
systems and AOI experience.
Job Description = Uses knowledge of PCBA Manufacturing engineering principles and practices to develop and implement
production/processing methods and controls to meet customer speciftions     and quality standards in the most cost efficient
manner. Participate in investigations and corrective actions of work-in-process problems. Recommend and implement
improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, work instructions, equipment utilization, and other related
subjects to improve manufacturing quality/process/costs. Possess a mindset focused on continuous improvement focusing on
efficiency and mistake-proofing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Hands on responsibility for SMT, AOI and Through-Hole manufacturing equipment including process development,
    equipment programming, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Continuously  monitor production data and equipment performance including AOI yield, equipment utilization and
    machine rejects.
  • Assist production and maintenance personnel to improve line performance.
  • Investigate problems, determine root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support tooling design and modifications.
  • Create/update/maintain routings, and work instructions to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are
    achieved in the most cost efficient manner.
  • Help identify and provide solutions for breaking production constraints/bottlenecks by improving the equipment
    availability, labor efficiency, and/ or quality rates.
  • Lead continuous improvements efforts focused on reducing non-value added activities and increasing process
    capability indices (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk)
Qualifications
  • Competency in PCBA DFM including Manufacturing Fixture Design, PCB layout, SMT Stencil and Wave Solder Pallet
    design is required.      
  • SMTA Certified Process Engineer preferred.
  • Knowledge of 5S, SPC, PFMEA is preferred.

Position Title = Production Supervisor

Experience Required =
  • 3 years in a progressive, low to medium volume manufacturing environment
  • 1-3 years supervising production
  • 1-3 years working within an ISO 9000 quality management system
Job Description = Responsible for:  Overseeing the daily manufacturing activities and people planning for our Rosenberg,
Texas facility.  The position works closely with other functional areas in Operations and Engineering in order to advance
manufacturing best practices and achieve Overdrive performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manages and develops the production team leads/supervisor and hourly team members. Approx. 40 employees
  • Follow the directions and instructions of management in undertaking all assigned tasks to the set production cycle
    time and to the set quality or acceptance criteria.  Provides guidance and oversight for all production associates.
  • Keep the cells and lines active and ensure operators are producing product by the work instructions.
  • Monitors team progress towards goals and adjusts priorities as needed to maximize productivity, efficiency and
    effectiveness.  Develop a culture that embraces the tenets of operational excellence.
  • Be committed to the documented Quality System.  Contribute to improvements by working with management to
    ensure that work instructions reflect current working practices and are updated immediately when changes are made.
  • Immediately report any problems or shortages to your manager which have the potential to disrupt the production
    flow of your work.  Work with Materials, Engineering and quality to ensure on time delivery and product quality.
  • Actively participate in and help lead the Safety program.  Lead the implementation of  RIE and 5S projects on the
    production floor.
  • Actively promote teamwork in the department by considering each person as an internal customer.  Quality must be
    built into each process; it cannot be introduced at the end.
  • Motivate, direct, coach and develop a diverse, high performing and engaged team to meet established goals
Key Job Elements
  • Supervise all of the manufacturing personnel and resources for the assigned department to ensure that capacity and
    skill levels meet current and future product mix and demand requirements.
  • Maintaining adherence to company safety standards and policies to ensure a safe work environment including
    ensuring that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained for efficient and safe production.
  • Driving process excellence and product quality through the use of Lean Six Sigma tools to achieve Overdrive
    performance.
  • Allocate and adjust operators to meet planned hours and achieve budgeting requirements.
  • Work with Engineering and Materials to ensure On Time Delivery of Products
  • Coordinating with the Planning and Materials departments to ensure that proper component and materials inventories
    are maintained to support production.
Other Qualifications
  • Demonstrated people management skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools (Green Belt preferred)
