Position Title = Mechanical Equipment Inspector
Education and/or Experience Required = 10
Position Description = Operating company with plants located in various locations needs a mechanical equipment inspector
to perform inspections of various mechanical equipment during plant turnarounds.
PURPOSE - This position provides support to the company's plants by assisting the Reliability group in maintaining the
reliability program. The position is responsible for inspecting all mechanical rotating equipment following industrial and
company standards and assisting the plant maintenance work force in maintaining critical equipment in reliable operation.
POSITIONS DEMANDS - An Associates degree in a technical field, with a minimum of 5 years experience or 10 years
equivalent experience in rotating machinery equipment, specializing in rotary kilns including welding and pressure vessels.
Good computer and organization skills required. Ability to work with others to communicate well. A high level of
self-motivation is essential, as well as a demonstration of sound judgment. This position requires heavy travel and the
ability to deal with matters of urgency.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS - Key contact person with field maintenance and reliability groups. Frequent communications
with contractors and suppliers to coordinate inspection work. Reports to Reliability Manager.
ACCOUNTABILITIES (including but not limited to):
1. Responsible for the inspection of rotating equipment, pressure vessels and welding procedures.
2. Responsible to provide guidance to all project managers and maintenance work forces on rotating equipment, pressure
vessels, and welding procedures.
3. Responsible to track and update all critical equipment historical records.
4. Responsible to assist with plant turnaround special projects as needed.
This is a full time job with full benefit package.
